Welcome to the Zach Goodyear Photography Blog!

I regret to say that after 8 great years, I have made the difficult decision to close the doors of Zach Goodyear Photography. It's something I'm still passionate about, but with a growing family and my main career and love of real estate, I am running out of free hours in the day.

If you are looking for a wedding photographer, please don't hesitate to contact one of my fellow photographers who are great: Rich Kalonick or Ryan Dunnewold.

If you are looking for a portrait photographer, please feel free to contact Sandy Burr.

Thanks for your understanding and patience!

Updated Blog

As you can tell, I have done a little facelift on the blog. I've added a couple of new features including a navigation bar at the top and the ability to post LARGER photos!

Here's a shot of my mother's dog when I was up visiting her last week for my fake Thanksgiving. Have a Happy Turkey Day!

Denay and Lee's Rockin' Wedding at Cedarwood!

I had more fun than I've had in a while shooting Denay and Lee's wedding last weekend! It was a lively crowd and even though it was freezing outside, it was easy to stay warm inside with all of the dancing going on. Lee is a drummer for a country music artist and Denay can belt out some tunes as well, so the party really got started when Lee took a seat at the drums and Denay jumped on the mic! You couldn't help but have a good time, especially with the infectious smiles that these two have!

The wedding and reception was held at Historic Cedarwood which was an incredible venue. If you're a bride reading this and you haven't checked out Cedarwood as an option, it's definitely worth a look! The grounds were meticulous and since we had to move the wedding inside due to the extreme temperature shift, we were also able to experience first-hand the charm and beauty of the interior portion of the historic home. You can see their blog post on the wedding here.

Everybody loves getting compliments, including me, so I thought I'd share the nice note Denay sent to me today after returning from their honeymoon cruise.

Hey Zach!!
How are you? I just wanted to tell you how incredibly impressed everyone (including myself & Lee) was with you guys at our wedding. Everyone I have talked to said they thought you were just a joy to be around. Thank you for helping to make our day perfect. I cannot wait to see the pictures!!!!
-Denay

Winter Wonderland in Cazenovia, NY

Martha and I took a trip this weekend, an early Thanksgiving break so as to avoid the travel congestion next weekend, to visit my mother up in Cazenovia, NY. While we were there, a blizzard came in dropping about 12-15 inches of snow. Of couse, we had to build a snowman and being the photographer, I also had to take a few shots of my beautiful wife in the snow. :)

6 Month Photos for Miss Belle

I had the great opportunity yesterday to photograph baby Belle again. You may remember her from just after she was born, here. She just turned 6 months and looks fantastic. She was quite a trooper during the shoot as well. We spent 2 hours and she hardly made a whine.

Here is a sneak preview below. The rest of the photos can be viewed and printed by clicking here!

Family Portraits in Sylvan Park

I had the chance to spend Sunday morning with my friends Houston and Jessica and their great son at their home in Sylvan Park. We had a fun time weaving in some features of their wonderful cottage within the photos, both inside and out. The weather was on a the chilly side, but we managed to still have a great time.

Here are a few favorites from the shoot. The rest can be found here.
