I met Miss Dakota for the first time last week and she is precious! She did a great job during the shoot and aside from getting a little fussy here and there, she seemed to enjoy being a model. In between outfit changes, I had a chance to photograph the first born of the family (the four legged kind), of which I have included here. Enjoy!

Wallace and Margaret had an AMAZING wedding last month in Sewanee. The weather was perfect, the setting was phenomenal, the food was outstanding, and the flowers were out of this world! Friends and family alike had a great time dancing to the fantastic band. I've posted a slideshow below along with a few favorites from the day below. I shot Maida's 6 month photos a few weeks later which was great as we were able to get her sitting up on her own a good bit. She is such an amazing kid, can't you just get lost in her beautiful blue eyes? We had a great time at her home and went outside for a few minutes, but the 95 degree heat put us back inside quickly. I really like this set and especially like some of the ones we shot in the kitchen with her sitting on the marble counter. My favorite one might be the black and white of Maida trying to be independent and sit up on her own, nice and tall, looking at the camera, and her mom pulling back to trust that she won't tip over, but you can still see a little nervousness in her hands. This is why I love photographs; there can be so much information in one instant.

I had the great pleasure of photographing the newborn son of two great college friends of mine, Ebba and Cliff. Baby Hall came into the world a few weeks ago and was a delight to work with.
