Welcome to the Zach Goodyear Photography Blog!

I regret to say that after 8 great years, I have made the difficult decision to close the doors of Zach Goodyear Photography. It's something I'm still passionate about, but with a growing family and my main career and love of real estate, I am running out of free hours in the day.

If you are looking for a wedding photographer, please don't hesitate to contact one of my fellow photographers who are great: Rich Kalonick or Ryan Dunnewold.

If you are looking for a portrait photographer, please feel free to contact Sandy Burr.

Thanks for your understanding and patience!

Holden's Baptism and 9-month photos

I was able to capture Holden with a bunch of his family members after his baptism last weekend. We were able to capture him with lots of different family members as well as some cute ones of him by himself.

The full set can be seen here.

Richard is 1 year old!

I finished up Richard's first year sessions last weekend with a bang! He's such a cute kid, full of smiles, just happy as a clam. Here are some favorites. The rest can be seen here. Just a little bit longer and his life will get rocked a bit with a new baby on the way!

Matilda at 12 Months

I photographed Matilda's 12 Month Session last weekend at Centennial Park. Some favorites are below and the full set can be seen here. Enjoy!

Colmore-Flynn Wedding

Most weddings are a good time. Margaret and Tatum's Sewanee wedding created a whole new definition for fun.

It was a beautiful day with a little bit of snow left on the ground. Margaret spent the early afternoon dressing with her bridesmides at Rebel's Rest. Soon enough the ceremony was underway and it was beautiful! All Saints is an amazing space for a wedding.

After the ceremony, we quickly took some formal portraits (my goal is always to get formals done in 20 minutes or less - we all know everyone wants to get to the reception). The guests headed to Upper Cravens for the reception. This is where the elegance met the good old fashioned fun times.

The Michel Jons Band provided the music for the evening and they were great! They kept the dancing going from little ones to grandparents alike. About halfway through the reception, the Tatum and Margaret broke out the purple headbands. Let's just say that those took up up a notch...maybe 7 notches! What was a good time turned into a raging, rip-roaring great time! Everybody wore a headband, the bride, the groom, the guests, the band, even me! It was a hoot.

The flowers were beautiful as ever thanks to the most talented florist I know, Ken Taylor. The brilliant Jayne Slagle of Natural Bridge Events did the catering which was lovely.

Below you'll find a slideshow of the wedding day and some favorite shots from throughout the day. The slideshow is a great way to see most of the photos quickly and easily. The full set of photos can be viewed and prints can be ordered by clicking here.

Thank you Colmores and Flynns for letting me be a part of your special weekend! Enjoy!
