Welcome to the Zach Goodyear Photography Blog!

I regret to say that after 8 great years, I have made the difficult decision to close the doors of Zach Goodyear Photography. It's something I'm still passionate about, but with a growing family and my main career and love of real estate, I am running out of free hours in the day.

If you are looking for a wedding photographer, please don't hesitate to contact one of my fellow photographers who are great: Rich Kalonick or Ryan Dunnewold.

If you are looking for a portrait photographer, please feel free to contact Sandy Burr.

Thanks for your understanding and patience!

Heather and Daniel's Sewanee Wedding

Heather and Daniel married each other on a beautiful Sewanee afternoon a few weeks ago. The day was perfect and the setting couldn't have been better. The incredible purple and white flowers are credited to Ken and Lynn Taylor, who never cease to amaze me. The music was courtesy of The Jimmy Church Band. The food at the reception (so delicious) was cooked by the Aramark team led by Sarah Gunn. And the cakes (beautiful and fun) were created by Kimberly Beattie of Couture Cakes & Confections. Special thanks goes to Jen and Will for referring Heather & Daniel to me, and also to Ryan Dunnewold and Sandy Burr, both of whom helped capture some beautiful moments with their excellent photography . The full set can be viewed here!

Christie & Kiel's Sewanee Wedding

Another fun Sewanee Wedding! Thanks to Ken Taylor for coordinating this massively beautiful event! The weather was perfect, Sewanee couldn't have been more beautiful, and Christie & Kiel were as happy as could be!

It was a great crowd that offered up some impressive dance moves and lots of good times. Kiel was a fireman at Sewanee and as tradition would have it, they left the reception through an aisle of sparklers and rode off on Engine 4 with sirens wailing.

Check out the slideshow and a few of the favorites from the day below. The full set of images can be seen and prints can be ordered here.

Beth & Hunter's Sewanee Wedding | June 11, 2011

Beth and Hunter had an incredible combination of amazing beauty and epic fun during their wedding. The ceremony was at All Saints Chapel and the reception took place at the Hurst house near the football field. Ken Taylor did the always incredible job coorindating and providing exquisite floral and light displays while Jayne Slagle provided all of the delicious food and libations. Angie White produced another incredible cake that was decorated with all kinds of flowers in great summer colors.

The party really got started when the sunglasses came out - of course it's coolest to wear them after the sun goes down. To everyone's suprise and delight, late-night Krystal burgers were delivered and passed around (since school wasn't in session, I suppose this was the closest thing to some Sewanee midnight breakfast at the Pub). They left in true Sewanee style, speeding away with gravel flying and sirens wailing in a Sewanee Police car.

Beth looked amazing and Hunter looked like he was on cloud 9. All in all a great day! Check out the slideshow below. The full set can be viewed here!
