Welcome to the Zach Goodyear Photography Blog!

I regret to say that after 8 great years, I have made the difficult decision to close the doors of Zach Goodyear Photography. It's something I'm still passionate about, but with a growing family and my main career and love of real estate, I am running out of free hours in the day.

If you are looking for a wedding photographer, please don't hesitate to contact one of my fellow photographers who are great: Rich Kalonick or Ryan Dunnewold.

If you are looking for a portrait photographer, please feel free to contact Sandy Burr.

Thanks for your understanding and patience!

Crystal and Matt's Wedding

Congratulations Crystal and Matt! Sorry to be delayed in getting this up, there were a ton of great photos to get through and I've had a hard time picking my favorites.

Crystal and Matt’s wedding took place at the at the Belle Meade Methodist Church and then they held their reception at The Acorn Restaurant just off West End. Crystal couldn’t have looked more beautiful and Matt wasn’t too shabby himself! I will say, these folks know how to have a good time and man do they know how to dance! The reception was filled with more dancing than I knew what to do with, so I just tried to keep up. Michael Jackson would be very proud of their rendition of Thriller and any Ole Miss fan would be thrilled with Crystal’s garter.

Below is a slideshow with some of my favorites. The rest can be viewed here.

Thanks, Crystal and Matt, for making my job easy and being such a great couple. Best of luck to you both!

McClave-Cornelius Wedding

A few weeks ago, on a rainy Saturday, I met Jenny McClave at her hotel where she was getting her make-up done by the very talented Lisa Proctor. She looked beautiful as you can see in the slideshow below, and despite the rain, we gathered up some umbrellas and headed to Carnton Plantation where her wedding and reception were taking place...outside! Needless to say, we were all watching the sky closely and low and behold, just in time for the ceremony, the rain let up and a few pieces of blue sky began to peek through. The chairs were put out, the flowers put up, and the ceremony was underway.

It was a phenomenal day and Jenny's husband Christian, who is a Marine that recently returned from Iraq, was awesome to be around. You can 100% tell these guys were meant to be together. I haven't shot a military wedding prior to this, so it was very cool to watch them cut the cake with a sword! Both of their families were extremely warm and also know how to have a great time on the dance floor! Take a look at the slideshow below for a few of my favorites. Thanks to Sam Lingo for helping me out as a 2nd shooter.

The rest can be seen and ordered by clicking here.

Congratulations Christian and Jenny! And thank you Christian for your service. All the best to both of you!
