Shepard Family Portraits

I did another shoot for the Shepard family last weekend and got to take advantage of what may have been the last warm weekend of Fall in Nashville. They raked up most of the leaves in the yard before I came over and had a ball jumping into them and throwing them on each other. After that, we moved inside and captured some cute photos of the girls together. Here are some of my favorites. The rest can be seen here.

Twins Photo Shoot

I met with David and Kelly last weekend to photograph them with their adorable kids and really cool dog (who loved to play and LOVED to drool!). We spent a while out in their front yard playing with the dog, picking flowers, and watching the kids ham it up for the camera. Then we went inside (weather still looking great) for some beautiful shots in their office. Just when we decided to go back out, it started raining. Not to fear, it was just a light sprinkle and we decided to head across the road to neighbors farm where the kids had a ball playing on tractors, picking fresh tomatos, and pretending to go for a wagon ride.

The twins were SO well behaved and really into getting their photos taken which is always fun for me. Thanks David and Kelly and congrats on having such adorable children! A few of my favorites are below. The rest can be seen here.

Nashville Back Yard Family Portraits

I met with Julie and Stephen last week to photograph them with their son Matthew. We had a great time! This is one incredibly fun family! They have one of the coolest back yards I've seen in a while. It has a tree swing that we played on first, a climbing wall, and a treehouse for Matthew that Stephen built on top of a storage shed. They are also one of the most impressive group of hula hoopers that may exist. Julie actually ran a HALF MARATHON WHILE HULA HOOPING! Can you believe that? I mean, running a half marathon in and of itself is impressive, but doing it while swinging your hips back and forth and keeping a plastic ring around your waist for 4 hours? THAT'S impressive!

Stephen is an avid motorcyclist and recently spent a couple years restoring a classic Vespa (you might say Stephen was into Vespas well before Vespas were cool! :). We were able to get some family shots on the Vespa which was awesome. Matthew is also into motorbiking, so we made sure to capture him on his little dirt bike as well.

All in all, a great family and one that is full of smiles and laughter. I will say that they made me laugh harder than usual when I asked them to loosen up and make funny faces - they can contort they faces and eyes like nobody I've seen! Enjoy the photos!

Philippe Family at Edwin Warner Park, Nashville

I met with the Philippe family last weekend at Edwin Warner Park and had a great shoot with them! The boys were a little fussy at first (note the classic photo below which is definitely a keeper!), but we headed over to the creek that runs through and their dad was teaching them to skip rocks on the water. The youngest one is just starting to be able to stand on his own as well, so that was awesome to be able to capture. Thanks guys for such a great shoot!

Nashville Christmas Card Photos

I met with the Steele Family this weekend to get a couple of formal family portraits done at their home in Nashville with the children and grandchildren (Mimi and Sophie who are both signed up for my 1st Year Baby Package). This is truly a beautiful family!
