Welcome to the Zach Goodyear Photography Blog!

I regret to say that after 8 great years, I have made the difficult decision to close the doors of Zach Goodyear Photography. It's something I'm still passionate about, but with a growing family and my main career and love of real estate, I am running out of free hours in the day.

If you are looking for a wedding photographer, please don't hesitate to contact one of my fellow photographers who are great: Rich Kalonick or Ryan Dunnewold.

If you are looking for a portrait photographer, please feel free to contact Sandy Burr.

Thanks for your understanding and patience!

Miriam at 9 months

I got to do another session with Miriam recently who is also constantly smiling. Some favorites from the session are below and the full set can be seen here.

J.P. Smiling at 6 months

If this little guy doesn't brighten your day, then you may need some professional help. J.P. was full of smiles when I went to photograph him on a gloomy and rainy day. A sampling of smiles is below and more can be seen here. Enjoy!

Hannah's Newborn Photos

Baby Hannah Grace is as cute as they come. I had the chance to photograph her soon after she was born which I love. Here are some fun shots below and the full set can be viewed here.

Anne Claire at 10 months

Anne Claire and her family met me at Percy Warner Park recently to do a belated 9 month shoot for her. She is already starting to stand! It was a really beautiful day for photos at the park. The full set can be seen here.

Jen and Will's Monteagle Assembly Wedding

I photographed Jen and Will's wedding in the absolutely stunning Monteagle Assembly a couple of weeks ago. The Assembly is a small village of mostly 100+ year old summer homes on top of a mountain near Sewanee that is more idealic than any magazine or movie could make it out to be.

Jen's rehearsal dinner was held on Friday evening under the colorful lights of a Mexican Fiesta theme. Jayne Slagle of Natural Bridge Events did the catering (delicious, as always) and Ken Taylor orchestrated the flowers and decorations. You couldn't have asked for a more beautiful evening. It was warm, but not hot, the food was great and the atmosphere was stunning, especially with the addition of a Mariachi band for entertainment.

The wedding ceremony and reception were held on the Assembly grounds as well. Jayne and Ken did the food and flowers again and Angie White created a delicious and beautiful cake.

A slideshow of the big day is below (best viewed full screen) along with a few of my favorite shots throughout the weekend. The full set can be viewed and prints can be ordered here. Enjoy!
