Welcome to the Zach Goodyear Photography Blog!

I regret to say that after 8 great years, I have made the difficult decision to close the doors of Zach Goodyear Photography. It's something I'm still passionate about, but with a growing family and my main career and love of real estate, I am running out of free hours in the day.

If you are looking for a wedding photographer, please don't hesitate to contact one of my fellow photographers who are great: Rich Kalonick or Ryan Dunnewold.

If you are looking for a portrait photographer, please feel free to contact Sandy Burr.

Thanks for your understanding and patience!

Sewanee Wedding Photography: Jen and Will's Winter Wedding

Twas the week before Christmas and all through the campus, not a creature was stirring except Jen and Will and their rockin' wedding in Sewanee! There was a crisp chill in the air, but suprisingly for Dec. 18th, it wasn't overly cold. The sky was blue, the sun came out, and there were friends and family pouring in from all over.

Their rehearsal dinner and after party took place at the Sewanee Inn. The ever amazing Ken Taylor provided the flowers and Jayne Slagle with Natural Bridge Events catered the event.

The wedding took place in All Saints Chapel and the reception was in McClurg Hall. Both venue's were beautiful and Ken's flowers were amazing and everywhere.

The Jimmy Church Band kept everyone dancing so they could build up an apetite for the delicious food, catered by Aramark (thanks to Sarah Gunn) and for Angie's cakes! The groom's and bride's cake were by Angie White. Will was an ATO at Sewanee, so Angie made an AMAZING replica of the ATO house in a cake! The bride's wedding cake was a colaboration between Angie and Ken and was white, covered in intricate frosting and flowers, and positioned with the huge Christmas Tree in the background...just stunning!!

It was a beautiful evening and, in what I thought was a pretty cool way to leave a Sewanee wedding, Jen and Will were whisked away in the back seat of Sewanee's finest, lights and sirens blairing, peeling out and screeching down University Avenue, to be delivered to the Monteagle Inn where they spent the rest of the evening.

Thank you both for letting me capture your amazing day! Below is a slideshow for you to watch and a few of my favorites. The full can be seen here!

Meet Finn: Nashville Dog Photography

Finn is the relatively new dog of my good friends and neighbors Will and Becca. We dog sat him a couple of months ago and I did a little photoshoot with him to give them as a Christmas gift. He's a great guy and Abbo loves him!

Campbell's 9 Month Photos

I spent part of the afternoon with Campbell and his mom, 2 aunts, and grandmother earlier this week. They were in town for the holidays and wanted to get some updated portraits while they were here. Sadly his dad couldn't be there due to travel plans, but I think Campbell enjoyed all the attention he was getting from the ladies.

The favorites are below and the full set can be viewed and ordered here.
