Welcome to the Zach Goodyear Photography Blog!

I regret to say that after 8 great years, I have made the difficult decision to close the doors of Zach Goodyear Photography. It's something I'm still passionate about, but with a growing family and my main career and love of real estate, I am running out of free hours in the day.

If you are looking for a wedding photographer, please don't hesitate to contact one of my fellow photographers who are great: Rich Kalonick or Ryan Dunnewold.

If you are looking for a portrait photographer, please feel free to contact Sandy Burr.

Thanks for your understanding and patience!

Engagement Session with Lindsay and Matt

Lindsay and Matt met me at Centennial Park today for an engagement session. They brought their awesome dog, Molly, along as well. We had a good time enjoying the wonderful weather and got some great shots. Lindsay and Matt are getting married in a couple of months on the beach in Florida. I know it will be a fantastic wedding! Check back soon for the link to the rest of the photos. Until then, here are a few of my favorites!

Photoshoot with Cody!

I had the chance yesterday to shoot my friend's beautiful golden retriever, Cody. I hadn't seen Cody since she was a puppy, so I was blown away at how much she had grown and how beautiful she turned out. We had a fun time in Sevier Park, in the 12South Neighborhood, on Sunday afternoon. I learned that Cody LOVES tennis balls. My favorite photo of the day may be her laying in the grass, enamored with the tennis lessons happening in front of her. You would have thought she was in heaven.

Here are a few of my favorites. Enjoy the photos! You can see the rest of them here.

Family Portraits to raise money for CASA

I believe it's important to give back to the community that supports you, so this was a portrait session that I donated to a charity auction which was graciously purchased by the Brownie family at the CASA Red Shoe Party and Auction. CASA is an organization that helps provide adult advocates for foster children in the court system. Thanks to the Brownie's for their support! We took the photos at Percy Warner Park in Nashville and I had a great time with the three of them.

First photos of Baby Belle

This afternoon I took some photos of the wonderful baby Belle. This was her first time being professionally photographed, so we had a ball trying lots of new things. She was great for the hour or so that I was there, with only a couple of minor outbursts. It was quite a showing of family, as well. There were four generations of ladies in the house! Thanks Janet and Michael for letting me come help capture these memories. I look forward to many more of these as she grows older!
