Welcome to the Zach Goodyear Photography Blog!

I regret to say that after 8 great years, I have made the difficult decision to close the doors of Zach Goodyear Photography. It's something I'm still passionate about, but with a growing family and my main career and love of real estate, I am running out of free hours in the day.

If you are looking for a wedding photographer, please don't hesitate to contact one of my fellow photographers who are great: Rich Kalonick or Ryan Dunnewold.

If you are looking for a portrait photographer, please feel free to contact Sandy Burr.

Thanks for your understanding and patience!

Kevin and Therese Tie the Knot!

It's finally here! Sorry to be so delayed in getting these out, but things have been a little nutty lately and it's set me back a bit. Therese and Kevin were referred to me by my studio manager, Erica, and were a great couple to work with! They met at Trivia Night at the Flying Saucer which, if you haven't played trivia there, is quite a load of fun. From what I hear, it was pretty much a perfect match from that point forward. Therese went to Vanderbilt, so they felt it only prudent to have their wedding reception there.

They were married at the Cathedral of the Incarnation. After that, we did something I haven't ever done at a wedding before, but had a ball doing it. The guests went off to do their own thing for a few hours while the Bride and Groom and the wedding party (along with me and my 2nd photographer) jumped in a giant limo and went to various places around Vanderbilt's beautiful campus for photos. After about an hour, we decided it was getting warm and was time for a few buckets of cold beer at Satco. They were the hit of the crowd on the deck that afternoon. Granted, half of the crowd were their own wedding guests! All in all, it was a great pit stop that made for some very fun photos!

After Satco, we wandered around campus a bit more and then headed over to the Vanderbilt Student Life Center for the reception. Therese is a teacher, so she gave everyone a quiz they had to solve in order to find out at what table they were sitting. Very clever! Everything was beautiful, from the cake to the flowers to the bride herself.

Congrats to both of you! Below is a slideshow of some of my favorites. The rest of the photos can be seen and ordered by clicking here. You can click on the ALL PHOTOS folder or just look at sub folders for different times of the day. Enjoy!

Yeah! Look at you rocking that off-camera lighting at the reception! I ADORE the B&W shot of him in the foreground (# 82 I think) and the photos from the bar are wonderful. Love 'em. :)
